Dr.Samuel Hahnemann (1755-1843)
Homoeopathy is an alternate system of medicine which originated in Europe over two centuries ago. Its practice, acceptance and popularity has soared heights since then, also owing to the dissatisfaction of conventional drug treatment among masses due to the various side effects, limitations and gradual build up of resistance to various drugs in the conventional treatment….
Homeopathy is a scientific system of medicine discovered in 1796 by Dr.Samuel Hahnemann, a German M.D physician who was disillusioned with the techniques devised by the doctors of his time. He founded this system on the stated natural and universal principle of ‘like cures like’, or ‘what can cause can cure’ also known as “Similia similibus curantur”.
Thus Homeopathy treats illness with a natural substance which, when taken by a healthy person produces symptoms similar to those experienced by the person who is ill. Homoeopathy induces in the body a stage which in turn makes the body powerful enough to overcome the existing illness. Homoeopathy is perfectly in accordance with the laws of nature as well and hence does not produce any undue side effects when administered in the right way.
Homoeopathy is thus a very balanced system which is a boon to mankind, easy to administer and will bring about perfect restoration of the patient’s health. Many of the advantages of using homoeopathic medicines include increasing immunity and also reverting the patient to a earlier stage regarding his disease phenomenon. The treatment also helps the prevention of the new ailments.
